Fault Code P0118 (engine coolant temperature circuit high input)

coolant sensor and thermostat has been changed, but same problem still. check engine light on. auxiliary fan working all time with ignition, temperature indicator not working.

many times fault code cleared but it is back again after we start engine!
any help please.

If you are sure you changed the correct sensor, then you likely have an issue with the plug or the wiring. The dealer probably sells a new pigtail for the wiring that you can splice it to change the plug.

Unplug the sensor, clear the code and try starting the car. You should get a different code now. If you also get or only get the P0118 code you have a wiring problem, namely a short to voltage on the sensor wiring.

Done and got the same code .
wire from ECU to sensor has been checked and found okay .
do you think it's because of the ECU it self ?

Looking at the wiring diagram and the sensor specs I would double check that the wiring from the sensor to the ECU is good, an internal break in either wire can cause this code. One wire will have five volts one will be ground with the key on.
If you do not find those then I would suspect the ECU.

ECU has been replaced and it's okay now.
