Hi Jessica and thanks for using 2CarPros.

I have good and bad news. First, the location is located under the hood in the power distribution box. That's the good news. The bad news is it isn't something that is serviceable. The relay is an integral component, and is part of a printed circuit board. Here is a description of the fan relay:

RELAY-RADIATOR FAN (ON PCB)

Harness Family: PDC_Underhood
Cavities: 4
Color: NA
Gender: MALE
Part Description: Relay_Micro
Engineering Name: Rly_Rad_Fan_High_Speed_K20_PDC
Connector No: D838
Option: Standard

Pin Circuit Wire Color Gauge/Size Function
30 A0 INTERNAL NA B(+)
85 K175 INTERNAL NA RAD FAN CONTROL
86 A0 INTERNAL NA B(+)
87 N29 INTERNAL NA RADIATOR FAN ENABLE SIGNAL

If you look at the picture I attached, it shows locations. It is small so I will enlarge the items listed which pertain to this issue. If the relay is bad, the circuit board needs replaced.

I wish I had better news. Let me know if I can help.

Hi:
According to everything I have, there is no serviceable fan relay on this model. Also, what code did they find? Did they tell you? Can you upload a picture of what they sold you?

Hello,

If I could jump in here real quick, Joe is right. Some vehicles are like this. Ford Mustangs, for instance, have a Constant Control Relay Module that contains a printed circuit board with Hi/Low Fan relay, PCM relay, and fuel pump relays integrated in it. The whole module has to be replaced as opposed to a single relay. I hope this helps.

Thanks,
Alex
