Hi Redneck8814,

Do you have the special tools to remove it? Here is a guide that shows a set of them. They are basically just thin wrenches but if not, I attached a video that shows another way to get them off. You need an air impact hammer for this way.

Please let me know if you still can't get it and we can come up with something else. Thanks

Hello, I'm Danny.

Here is a tutorial showing what is involved for removal/installation. You will need a 36mm wrench for the job.

I've attached step-by-step instructions below.Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.

So the problem is I can’t get the clutch nut off. It’s rusted on there or something. I put pb blaster on it and no luck. I rented the fan clutch tools from auto value and none of them seem the right size to grab onto the nut. I don’t have any wrenches or anything of the size so I have to get one. I miss driving my truck and it’s only been 3 days, lol.

Okay. Unfortunately these can be stubborn. Take a look at the video in the link that Danny provided. They use an adjustable wrench and large pipe wrench to hold the pulley still. More than likely you will need to be creative like this in order to get it off. Just make sure you read through the instructions that I posted earlier as well. Your fan nut is turned counter clockwise.
