Vehicle details: 4WD / AWD

my radiator cooling fan worked perfect and temp gauge didn't go to hot. about 2 weeks ago the fans wouldn't work just stopped and temp went to hot in an instance. I bought the whole cooling fan assembly but have not put it in yet , we wanted to check the module to see if that was it first... then we checked the plug to the fan and it definitely got hot and melted.

Yep, the electrical connector gets overheated like that when the radiator cooling fan motor needs to be replaced. Replace the cooling fan and then hard wire the electrical connector, this will fix the problem. Also, use a garden hose to power flush the radiator fins while the cooling fan is removed. Thanks for the images.
