Check engine light came on after tune-up, scan said coolant temperature sensor or coolant bypass valve. Changed both, bypass first, no fix. Then I changed coolant temperature sensor and now before I even start the engine it says high temperature pull over safely (or something like that) and now I'm stuck.

Can we get the code numbers please? It sounds like the thermostat is stuck closed did you change that? It seems like during the tune up some wires might have gotten pinched. I would inspect the engine wiring loom to check for anything that may have got under a bolt or clamp. Just to confirm this is the sensor you changed, correct? Also, check out how small the wiring lead is going to the sensor which can easily get damaged. Check out the images (below). Please upload pictures or videos in your response of any problems so we can see what to help you with.

I think I got it fixed. I bought an obd2 scanner and cleared the codes and now it is running right.
