All steering buttons and horn stopped working?

I took a car to the mechanic on the 12th of October, and they changed a computer box. It came back fine but after 2 weeks all buttons in the steering stopped working together with the horn stopped working. The lights in the dash are on but cannot be changed if I press buttons in the steering. What could be the problem?

You're describing the typical symptoms of a broken clock spring. That's a wound-up ribbon cable in a plastic housing under the steering wheel. This article does a better job of explaining how they work:
