I put a SCT Excalibrator 2 tuner on my car. I tune it to 87 octane. After tuning the car it is now tearing engine fail-safe mode in the message area. I can still drive the car. The only difference it has seem to made is it is making it drink gas more. No check engine light or any other codes are showing up. I tried to read the data codes with the tuner and it say there are no codes to read. Please help on how I can get this turned off or if I messed something up on the car. I am new to this seeing as I just bought the car.

Welcome to 2CarPros. It sounds like the tuner may have damaged the PCM and caused it to switch to the fail-safe mode. First thing I would try would be to revert back to the original tune and see if it comes back. If it doesn't a dealer might be able to flash it back to stock.

Okay, I did try to revert back to stock and it did not fix the issue. When I did though I did not pull the fuses for the fan or fuel pump. Also, do you think that the tuner may have fried the PCM?

If it will not return to stock it could have damaged the PCM. I would see if a dealer or shop that can do programming can get it back to stock or if you need to replace the PCM.
