Scan the computer for code/s might not be for the EGR valve this time.

My Check Engine light came on and carried it to tech. And he said that the fuel sensor detected the
gas tank to full or it can do it if tank is close to empty.
I'm guilty of topping the tank as much as I can, even
overfilling sometime. I've never heard of this before and why didn't it go off over the past years that I
have overfilled? Is this a true reading?
Thanks, Bob

Sorry, I did not get code. So, I guess this ends my
question. After surfing around your web page, I
didn't know there were so many codes.
Thanks for your help. Bob Argo

PO460 means fuel level sensor circuit malfunction.

Means that the fuel tank sending unit is defective or that the wiring harness in the cluster to the unit is bad

HI there,

The check engine light is an indication the one of the engine management sensors has failed or is out of range, the ECU take the information from all the sensors to operate the engine in optimum performance, if a sensor is out of range the ecu will log it as a fault code, this code is unique to each item it is monitoring so the code number is require to identify where your problem may lie.

Misfiring can be caused by worn or fouled spark plugs, a weak spark (weak coil, bad spark plug wire), loss of compression, vacuum leaks, anything that causes an unusually lean fuel mixture (lean misfire), an EGR valve that is stuck open, dirty fuel injectors, low fuel pressure, or even bad fuel.

This morning as I was driving to work my car started to pull really bad like I was stalling and wouldn't go past 3000 rpm and my engine light started blinking. Also heard a knocking sound too. What is the cause of that.

My 2002 mustang has the check engine light on. The DTCs it's giving me are: P1000, P0133, P1131. Now the O2 sensors are BRAND NEW, just replaced them. An so is the header gaskets, because I just put a full exhaust on it. But these code were on there before I did this, so I know it wasn't a mechanical mistake. But I can't find out what it is. Can you help?

My name is Tony. I have a 2002 Ford Mustang, 142K, V6 3.8L. I just changed the fuel filter the other day. But after a point in time of driving, it starts to bulk down and eventually cuts off. The check engine light is on. My uncle once told me that it might just be the spark plugs. He said it sounds like it's not getting all of the power. I haven't changed them yet. But do you think that is it?

I would be pulling them out not based on the uncle but because I would want to know how they looked. Take a look at them and see if one or more of them looks a bit black. I may be noticeable from viewing the plugs what is going on. Let us know what the condition of the plugs is.
