I have a blend door actuator going out on passenger side of my vehicle and it makes a ticking noise but now I'm hearing a kind of high-pitched whining noise coming from driver's side. Would this also be an actuator of a different kind, or can the same actuator make a couple of different noises? Or is this not actuator noise at all?

Hi,

It is possible that it is a different actuator. Are you experiencing any other issues? For example, can you control the airflow direction? Does the fresh air/recirculate air controller work properly?

Also, here is a link you may find helpful, it explains in general how to replace a blend air door actuator:

Let me know.

Take care,
