I was wondering, do I need a cap on my expansion tank for the radiator?

Hi,

Because the radiator cap is the pressure release cap, in theory, the reservoir is only used as a holding tank. So, in theory, it isn't needed other than to prevent coolant from splashing out. However, I would recommend having one.

Let me know if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe
