My check engine light came on with the code of PO420. Yesterday I got the flex pipe, extension pipe, resonator, axle pipe, muffler and hangers replaced. These parts has holes in them. The car is no longer as loud. However, it is is still exhibiting the same symptoms. The check engine light came back on immediately the car vibrates/pulsates when I am idling, it continues to makes a putt putt sound and feels like i am driving over a pile of rocks! It rides rough overall. Please help me out!

Good afternoon.

The 420 code is for a worn out catalytic converter. the precious metals inside are no longer doing their job.

the only way the code will set otherwise is if you have an exhaust leak before the converter. then it will draw in fresh air and fool the O2 sensor.
