My check engine light just came on and it is a leaking driver side exhaust manifold. How soon should I replace it? Thanks.

As soon as you can. The reason being that the leak can cause other problems. For instance the check engine light can come on and show that side of the engine running lean, the computer will try to add extra fuel to correct that and that will damage the converter. Or if the leak is in some spots it can act like a torch and damage wiring or other parts.
