Evaporator case panel, how important is it to have it on?

Completely forgot to put the evaporator case panel back on. I don't remember where it goes. How important is it?

Yes, you must have it if you want the A/C and heater to work. All of the air from the blower motor will come out of the HVAC case. Here is hot to install the case housing cover for clarification. Check out the images (below). Please upload pictures or videos in your response of the problem so we can see what's going on.
