I replaced my evap solenoid with a factory number replacement from Bosch. Checked the codes, erased them and it seemed to work as the light stayed off for a while. A week or so after (not too many miles driven, maybe 15 or so) the check engine light came on again for the same item I thought I fixed; P0441. so I erased it again drive about 10 miles, light stayed off so far. how do I really check this device to know I really fixed it or am between drive cycle testing?

Hi,

The part may not be the problem. However, the code may point you there. Can you tell me the specific code that was found so I can research it for you?

Let me know.

It was PO441. I drove it a few miles the other day and no light yet.

That is related to the canister purge regulator, so hopefully it's fixed. If it comes back, let me know and we'll try to diagnose what could be the cause.

Take care,
Joe
