EVAP issue

Smelled exhaust fumes two days before engine light came on. Solenoid checked and is operating. Rubber hoses didn't appear to be leaking. Can the EVAP canister be cleaned?

Good evening,

If you smell fumes it is not from the EVAP system. It is coming from the exhaust system.

You need to have it checked to determine the leak for you.
