After a dumb move by me, my tank is now 1/4 full of ethanol (11 liters) instead of all gasoline. I would like to know what would be the next move in assuring I don't wreck the motor.

Hi,

If the vehicle isn't designed for using flex fuel, E85, it can damage things. What I recommend is to drain the fuel tank and then drain the fuel lines and replace the fuel filter.

This vehicle wasn't offered in the US, so I don't have the specifics for draining the tank. On some vehicles, there is an actual drain plug. On others, the easiest thing to do is remove the fuel line at the engine and allow the fuel pump to empty the tank into an approved fuel container.

Let me know if this helps or if you have other questions.,

Take care,

Joe
