Engine light on. Transmission hard shifting, not finding sixth gear after fifteen minutes of highway driving, voltmeter fluctuation.

Codes:
P0014
P0300
P0420
P0430

My mechanic thinks the camshaft sensor (P0014) is the issue and where to start the fix. What are your thoughts? Is it standard to change out all four sensors at one time?

Yes I would start at the camshaft sensor here is a guide to walk you through the step and a diagram below to show you the location.

When trouble code P0014 is set, it means that camshaft position “B” in Bank 1 is more advanced than the ECM has told it to be.

Also is the engine full and clean this can affect the camshaft actuators which will cause these problems. Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know what happens.

Cheers, Ken
