The car is driving fine with no issues, and I've already replaced the canister purge valve and cleared the code once and it came back on, but the car is driving perfectly fine.

Hi,

You aren't fully into the code reading section of the scanner. The $7E8 is the menu for the engine data streaming information. Click on it and it should take you to a page that says read codes. Select that and let me know if it works and what code is found.

Also, if it doesn't, let me know what kind of scanner you have.
