I'm considering buying this car but the EPC light is on due to a broken "electric gas". Is it enough to replace the actual accelerator or what needs to be replaced? I'm honestly kind of lost so any help would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to 2CarPros.

First, always remember the old saying, "Buyer Beware"? If it is a simple fix, it would most likely already be done. Now for the EPC.

The EPC warning light on a Volkswagen indicates a problem with the throttle system, such as the throttle pedal, throttle body, traction control, or cruise control. What do you mean by the electric gas is broke? Take a look at picture 1 and let me know if that is what you are referring to and what is actually broken on it. If that is the part, figure around 200 dollars for the part, and if you have to pay someone, labor is just over an hour.

My biggest concern is that we don't know if there are other problems. Have you driven the vehicle?

Let me know.

Joe.
