Door will not unlock with key

Welcome to 2CarPros.

If the lock tumbler turns but the door won't unlock, chances are the linkage between the tumbler and lock assembly is disconnected or broken.

What I need you to do is remove the outside handle and lock assembly and inspect linkage to confirm nothing is wrong. I attached two pictures. First shows how to access the retaining bolt. The second shows how to remove the latch assembly if needed.

Here are the directions:

REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER LH
a. Remove the hole plug.
B. Using a torx socket wrench (T30), loosen the screw and remove the cover with the door lock key cylinder installed.
C. Remove the cylinder from the cover.
