Engine will not start

Had bad water pump replaced it. It cranked up and ran a while, a little rough at first but then was okay. But now it wont start at all. Please help me.

Hello,

Can you please check and make sure that some wires didn't pinched anywhere when you replaced the water pump and then get back to us with what you find out. We can go from there, if need be.

Hello,

Okay, so this might be a problem with the Camshaft Position Sensor[CMP] on your vehicle. On Ford/Mercury vehicle's with Coil On Plugs[COP] the CMP is responsible for synchronizing and firing the fuel injectors and the ignition coils. In the diagrams down below I have included the instructions for the removal and installation including the location of the CMP for you. Please go through these guides and get back to us with how everything turns out.

It was cranked fine until water pump went out. It started after I out it back on and now I see a little smoke coming from back of engine.

I don't think it got too hot to crack a head, but I could be wrong.

Hello again,

Okay, so what usually happens when you overheat your engine is that the head will warp causing your vehicle's head gasket to fail. This happens because aluminum has a much lower melting point the iron block,which can take a little more heat. Aluminum will melt around 1200F while iron melts at around 2800F. When the cylinder head warps it will cause a loss of compression in one or more cylinders and render those cylinders dead. A good way to check to see if this has happened is to do a compression test on your vehicle. Here is a link below explaining how to do that:
