I started my car, but it shut down whenever I hit the gas pedal. After a while I could step on the gas pedal without it shutting down. I revved it for 20 seconds and all of a sudden, I could hear clunking sounds in the bonnet before it totally shut down. Now when I turn the key, the car won't start at all. How can I get it to start again?

Hi,

How high were you revving it when this happened? Let me know that. Also, if you could record it and upload it for me to hear cranking, that could really be helpful. Does it still sound the same when cranking or is it different? For example, does it sound like it's cranking faster?

I will wait to hear from you. However, here is a link that explains the most common causes for a crank no start condition. Take a look through it and let me know if it helps.

Let me know. Also, if I could hear it cranking, it would be helpful.

Take care,
