At stop signs and lights i have really bad vibrations in the passenger cabin idle sits at about 650 in gear (in gear is the only time the vibration happens). i have changed plugs out with OEM Motorcraft plugs, cleaned throttle body (properly, removed it from vehicle etc) and changed all three motor mounts, the engine side mount and torque mount are OEM Motorcraft and the transmission one is aftermarket but high quality, really only one i could find. so i am not sure what to do next. i have really hit a wall and it is bugging me. as for the transmission i am not sure what to do next. i have changed the fluid many times with Motorcraft FNR5 fluid and changed the filter twice with OEM Motorcraft filter and there has been no change. it only shifts hard first to second and second to third after that smooth as can be. down shifts are also a bit harsh if i really get on the pedal. thinking of swapping solenoids. any recommendations are greatly appreciated.

Can you tell if the engine is misfiring at idle? If you could take a quick video and upload it here at this site in the reply it would be great so I can see what's going on. If I had to guess I would say it could be low compression in one cylinder.

Here are two guides to help us get started to find the problem.

and

Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.

Cheers, Ken

Hello Ken, thank you for the response. I don't have a compression tester on hand so I'll have to wait to perform the test until I can get one but I don't believe I have a misfire it doesn't feel like that kind of vibration. It's only when in 'D' 'R' or 'L' on the gear shifter when in park or neutral it's smooth as can be I also don't feel a lack of power or anything so I don't really think it's a misfire. But I will test the compression when I have the means. As for everything else I think I've checked everything on the list I've changed my plugs with oem equipment changed my motor mounts with oem equipment and I can't find a vacuum diagram for my car but the hoses that are obvious aren't leaking. Could it be related to my exhaust? My previous car had a faulty exhaust eventually it failed completely but once it was replaced it smoothed out a lot if I recall. This one doesn't seem to have any leaks though or rattle. The video attached is the engine bay on cold start (27 F ambient) but most of the vibration can't be seen or felt here. It's in the cabin specifically the driver's seat and steering wheel

Great to hear from ya I want to get this problem fixed but I don't see the video? It almost sounds like a cradle mount issue.
