Engine vibration after replacing thermostat

Changed the thermostat but to do so had to remove serpentine belt as well as remove both alternator bolts to move it to get old thermostat out. Buttoned it all back up and now the engine is vibrating and has never done that before.
Sorry, this actually has the 16 valve vvt-I engine.
