Engine locked up. Was wondering if a 2.2 off a 1998 Cavalier would work?

You need to look at the block of the Cavalier and make sure the bosses are there for the motor mounts and they are drilled. If they are then yes. You will need to strip down the motor from the cavalier to a long block and then remove all the parts from your truck to the donor motor. then you can install it.
