Crank no start after an engine swap

I recently changed the engine in my car listed above to a Dodge Intrepid engine which is a 2.7 also. The eighth number in VIN is r on both. My engine will now crank and will not start. I have changed crank shaft position sensor and cam sensors. Can you tell me if I will need to change anything else or why could be my problem? I am a single mother of five and I am without a vehicle at this point.

Which year crank sensor? They are different.

Well after looking at interchange data from a few spots they all say the same thing, The Intrepid engine will not work in your car, the problem is they do not show what is different or what you can change to make it work.

I know they changed quite a bit of the 2.7 in late 2004 to make it develop more torque using a tune-able manifold and a drive by wire throttle body. Did you swap those parts onto the "new" engine?
Looking at the part numbers the only things that look different are the crank sensor and the intakes.
But Chrysler is real good at making changes within engines that make it so they do not interchange even if they appear the same.

I would start with the basics and check for spark and fuel first.
Try shooting some starting fluid into the intake and see if it fires at all.

What was wrong with the original engine?
