Can I put a 5.7 l engine into my 2006 Impala ls? and if so what will I need to do it ?

Hello my name is Dave.

It is possible to do the swap however it would be a very difficult to do and have it emissions legal. One factor you need to consider is that the engine has to be the same model year or newer, you also should consider that you would need to change transmissions, wiring harness, computer, radiator, front springs and I'm sure you would run into other issues. My suggestion would be if you want to build a high performance version of that model car is to find a 5.3 version and then look into installing the 5.7.
