Engine stumbles

After driving about an hour if I slow down or stop sometimes on acceleration between 1200 and 2000 rpm the engine stumbles. Could the fuel filter need changed? I had a trouble code saying misfire in cylinder three so I changed the spark plug in that cylinder and erased the trouble code. So far the code has not returned. I am stumped!

It could be as simple as a fuel filter. However, there are many things that can cause a stumble. Since the check engine light has not turned back on, I would check fuel pump pressure to make sure it is within the manufacturer's specs. If it is, the fuel filter would be a good place to start. Keep in mind, if you only replaced one spark plug, others may be going bad, too. Consider replacing them all. If it continues to stumble, the light should come back on indicating the problem location.
