The car start up , runs awhile then it just stops running. The day it will crank up and stay running.

When it shuts off, does it start right back up or do you have to wait for a while?

I would check the fuel pressure to be sure the pump is good. It will need to be tested when it stalls.

Spark also needs to be tested as well.
