The engine stays on after pressing the stop button like it’s riding with the RAP system. The radio and cluster stay on and it all shuts off when I open the door or when it times out. The heater stays on as well and also shuts off when opening the door. I can’t get it out of park like it doesn’t recognize it’s running. I press the start button along with the brake and nothing happens. The lights on the start button do not light up at all but if I press it without the brake the first light comes on and if I hold it the second light comes on and if i open the door while either of the lights on the start/stop are on everythjng stays on when I open the door.

Hello, to me it sounds like the on/off button itself is bad which is common, there is no programming needed after the replacement. Here is how the switch is replaced. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.

I’m shopping for right now. That’s what I was about to do the other day but then after talking with ChatGPT, I had a whole list of things it could be so I just wanted an opinion from a professional before I ended up with five new problems. I’ll let you know how it goes. Thanks.
