Hi,
I'm not sure what was replaced when the engine was, but there are many possibilities causing this. Most commonly, an engine vacuum leak can cause a rough idle or stall at idle. However, I have a question. Does it only happen when turning or if you stop at a stoplight as well?
Additionally, if the throttle body throttle actuator is failing, it can cause this as well as a dirty throttle body. There are other things as well, but I don't want to overwhelm you with all of them.
So, let's start by checking for an engine vacuum leak. Here is a link that explains how it's done. Additionally, there is a vacuum hose on the rear of the throttle body that has a 90-degree bend in it. They commonly dry-rot and leak, so make sure to check that.

Next, if you service the throttle body, that can eliminate this type of issue. Here is a link that explains how that is done.

'If the check engine light is staying on while the engine is running, have the computer scanned as well for diagnostic trouble codes. Most parts stores will do it for you free of charge.
Let me know what you find or if you have questions.
Take care,
Joe
