Engine slap?

Engine has a knock when first starting it up after sitting overnight. Knock goes away after 30-45 seconds. Knock does not happen after driving and shutting off and restarting.

Yep, this is common on high mileage engines because of extended clearances in the rod and main bearings. I would change the oil and filter and use 20/50 weight and add lucas oil stabilizer.
