Engine shutting off while driving, no check engine light

Passed few weeks while driving the engine will randomly shut off. No check engine light or stored codes. Replaced battery, brand new, did not fix. Checked fuses and relays, all seem to work fine. Normal fix is place in neutral while still moving, roll ignition and will normally start back up. On a few occasions, when i get into the truck and attempt to start it, the engine continues to turn over, but does not fire. Roll ignition off/on and will start. Becoming very frustrating. And i know taking it to dealership, will cost the diagnostic fee only for the truck to not duplicate issue (with my normal luck).

Yep, been there done that. It sounds like the crankshaft position sensor is going out which will not trigger a code. We should run the codes to see what comes up just in case.

Here is the instructions to replace the crankshaft sensor in the diagrams below. Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.
