The car runs fine. No problems until, while under power, I turn on the heater control. The engines shuts off right away. Same result if the A/C is switched on. Heat worked fine last night. So, compressor, maybe?

Hello, Try unplugging the A/C compressor and see if it still stalls out. Does it feel like the a/c compressor is loading the engine too much? Do you lose power first and then it stalls out? Unplugging the a/c compressor will take it out of the equation. If it still stalls out then something is shutting down the engine computer,
Has or is the check engine light on?
Does this car have auto A/C? Can you change the temperature different for the driver side and passenger side?
Also what Sub-Model is this car? Base, S, or SL?

Added below, there is a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) Related to an ECM Reprogramming. This TSB may or may not be related, but it applies to this vehicle. It has to do with the car just shutting down due to a Programming Error from the factory. So, this is something you may want to have checked, the dealership should reprogram the Engine computer for free.
