Engine shuts off

No signs then engine will shut off. Wait five minutes and will start up again. Checked fuel pump and changed gas filter. What next? Some one said a modular by the alternator. Happens 4 time now.

Hello, the next step is finding out what sensor is failing. The trick is to catch it happening with a scan tool. It sounds like a crank sensor issue, these sensors act up when they get hot. A lot of times the vehicle will start right back up after the sensor has cooled off. But intermittent problems like this can be tough to diagnose without the proper diagnostic tools. When the engine quits, does the rpm signal on the dash board stop working. This is the first sign of a failing crank sensor.
