Engine shuts off

The engine starts well and runs good for ten to twenty minutes and then cuts off. It will not start for anywhere from forty five minutes to two hours. Fuel pressure at the fuel rail is 45-50 lbs. Both when running and after the engine shuts off. A new fuel pump and filter were installed but did not fix the issue. I've been told the crankshaft position sensor could be at fault but I don't know how to check the resistance because of location and clearance issues. Please let me know what I am missing and/or how to test the sensor.

Hello,

Most of the time testing the crankshaft sensor will not help and the computer cannot tell as well. But can I ask if you ran the codes? if not here is a guide to help:

If no codes here is the location of the crankshaft sensor. Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.
