driving down the road the diesel just shut off. All panel lights except fuel gauge and water temperature light up when key is turned. Radio, windows, door locks, emergency flashers. With key turned, gears can be engaged. Engine will not turn over. No clicking, no nothing. When the engine died, I heard a clunk. And of course, no brakes or power steering. Thanks for your help.

Looking forward to hearing from you. :) Thank you very much.

Hello,

Unfortunately this sounds like your timing belt might have broke. Your vehicle's engine is an interference engine which means there is no clearance between the valves and the pistons if the engine timing is not spot on, so whatever valves that were open when the timing belt broke, are undoubtedly bent now and there is possibly damage to the pistons as well. The only way to know for sure would be to get into the engine for confirmation. We can give you instructions for how to do this if you want. Please keep us informed.

Thanks,
Alex
