Starting engine shift to drive 1,200 rpm's it seem like it will not get in gear, then car goes faster it runs for about 20 minutes then slows down or turns off. Have to sit about 30 minutes for it to start again.
What could be the problem?

This sounds like a crank sensor issue. We need to do a couple things. First check for codes to see if there is anything else there that would point us in a different direction.

If not, when it stalls, we need to check for spark by pulling a plug and holding it against the block and crank the engine to see if there is a spark when it is cranking. If not then I would go with the crank sensor and see what happens.
