Engine replacement

Turbo went on this about 14 months ago, purchased a second hand engine and mechanic put in, drove this about 40 mile and just stopped as if someone turned ignition off. mechanic put it down to faulty engine, eventually got another engine mechanic put it in and it has done the same thing again. any ideas?

Hi,

That is odd. Can you tell me if the starter is engaging and turning the engine? Also, is it possible for you to record it and upload it for me to hear?

As far as a crank no start condition, here is a link that shows the most common causes. Take a look through it and let me know if it helps in any way.
