Any suggestions on where to get a good remanufactured engine to replace the Northstar in my car? Not sure if I will need to yet, but looking for suggestions.

You might look into Powertrain Products, Inc. I ran across their web site recently, but I haven't had a chance to really look at it. Another good source for car parts is Rock Auto.

A couple others:
NorthstarPerformance These folks do a lot of NorthStar work including building crate engines. Not the cheapest but they make stuff that works, I've used their head stud kits a few times and they really hold well. They repair the most common issue with the N-Star, the head bolts pulling free and letting the head gaskets fail.
Accurate Engines is reasonable but shipping is pricey.
