Engine replacement

My engine blew and I am trying to determine if the 2.5L 2arfe is a viable replacement to the stock 2.4L 2azfe.

I would say that this is a lot of work to do a swap, probably a new loom, PCM, there may be other problems as well. i have not heard of this conversion being done, personally i would stick with the original engine.
