Hi, I just bought this car for $1,500 in Los Angeles and brought it back to Fresno. It needs an engine as it was burned oil quickly with the previous owner and ran dry. This will be my first engine replacement job but I have plenty of experience as I am a self employed mechanic and have done my transmission and also am finishing the completion of a 2-post lift, I just purchased that is in my residential garage. I would really like step-by-step instructions on what is required and also how to avoid messing with the freon if possible. Another thing, having both an engine hoist and a 2-post car lift, would it be easier to take it out from the bottom or top? Instructions to remove ot from the bottom would be preferred if it's recommended. Any and all detailed instructions and advice are greatly appreciated like avoiding wire harnesses getting snagged, etc.
Thank you, you guys rock!

Hi,

As far as replacing the engine, it will come out from the bottom. The engine, transmission will be connected by the subframe.

I attached all the directions below. Let me know if this helps or if you have questions.

Take care,

Joe
