I am ordering an engine re-ring kit for a 1982 Ford Fairmont Futura and they are asking me for the sizes for the bearings and the piston rings. How do I know what size to order?
my options are:

connecting rod bearing:
0.010" undersize
0.020" undersize
0.030 undersize
and standard

piston ring:
0.030" oversize
0.040" oversize
0.060" oversize

crankshaft main bearing:
0.010" undersize
0.020" undersize
and standard

You need to measure the crank shaft big end and main journals with a micrometer, this is a precise measurement and cannot be guessed the rings are referring to bore size. This is also a precise measurement, and should be done by someone with expertise using precision measuring instruments.
