Engine rattle

I have a rattle in the top of my engine and do not know what it is. it just started last night and I will cut it off and on and it will do it then it will not. I do not know what to do.

Have you checked the oil level?

Does it sound like a tapping or a knock?

Yes, it has to do with my performance chip. I think it is messing with my timing.
