Go in reverse sometimes it stalls?

When I first start it then go in reverse sometimes it stalls. Also, when I put it into drive it doesn't go past 2,000 RPMs and it seems to lose power. What could cause this?

It seems like you may have two problems but let's handle the stalling in this thread. I would first replace the IAC valve which should helps with the stalling. Here is a guide to go over as well and I have included two guides that can help as well.

Check out the images (below). Please upload pictures or videos in your response of any problems so we can see what to help you with. I would service (clean) the throttle bore and IAC passages as well.
