Truck went into engine power reduced while driving down the road. Truck cranks and runs, but no throttle. Changed throttle body, no help. Changed accelerator sensor, no help.

Thanks for any ideas.

Hello COUGARTAMER_00,

I am sending you a link to an article that features written step by step instructions and pictures explaining how to scan for codes yourself. Also, I have included a link to our YouTube channel with a how to video on code scanning.

This is applicable even if your check engine light is not on.

Most scanners are inexpensive to purchase, you can purchase one online from sites like Amazon.com

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/checking-a-service-engine-soon-or-check-engine-light-on-or-flashing

https://youtu.be/YV3TRZwer8k

Once you have the codes please get back to us so that we can further assist you. We are always happy to help.

Thank you for visiting 2CarPros.com.

Kindest regards,
Renee

Yes truck was scanned. I do not have the exact codes. But the mechanic said it was saying throttle position sensor. But that was all replaced. So far throttle body replaced, accelerator sensor, computer (PCM). When I turn the key on I lose dash lights, but not dome lights. I have not replaced battery, but I have kept it on charge.

It sounds like you have lost a power feed into the PCM which there are 11 fuses and one PWR/TRN relay that need to have power when the car is on.

Here are two guides to help us do some simple testing:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-a-car-fuse

and

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-an-electrical-relay-and-wiring-control-circuit

(Check out the fuse panel engine wiring diagrams below)

Please run some tests and get back to us.

Cheers, Ken
