Engine performance

My truck surges when i drive it. I just rebuilt the carburetor and now when i drive it it surges really bad. I do not know why. Could you please give some suggestion on what it might be? Thanks.

If the carb is correctly rebuilt, adjusted, and working properly, I would start by checking ignition timing and making sure the vacuum advance to the distributor is working and holding vacuum.
