Engine is overheating and produces steam after over speeding at the end of the coolant reservoir tank overflow pipe. When I turn off the engine I hear a bubbling sound coming from the coolant reservoir tank. The reservoir tank has developed some brown residue. It is a Mazda B1800 Thailand make. What could have gone wrong?

With those symptoms I would say you have a bad head gasket. The brown residue points to combustion gasses getting into the coolant system as does the gurgling of gasses in the system. First thing I would do is ensure the coolant level is full. Then start it and let it warm up. Shut it off and let it cool. Then run a few tests to be sure.
