I need an Engine Oil Pump Upper Drive Shaft for a 1986 SVO Mustang but the part is unavailable. Do you know if the same part from a 1990 Ford Ranger will fit?

I just looked online at rock auto and they have it listed.for like $11 the one out of a ranger may fit or be a different size it's a hex shaft. you don't want it to be to short or to long. if the shaft broke look for valve stem seals in oil pump and then put a screen like a house screen between pump and block so it doesn't happen in the future. make sure screen is steel not plastic.
