Engine oil pressure sender

Low oil level was on for two days. It is off checked oil dip stick it full the low oil level light went off, but now check engine light is on.

The place to start is by having the diagnostic fault codes read and recorded. Those will indicate the circuit or system that needs further diagnosis, or the unacceptable operating condition. The people at many auto parts stores will read those codes for you for free.

It sounds like the level sensor has gone bad this will light the check engine light.

P0011 - Camshaft position sensor performance.

You didn't list your engine size. The diagnostic procedure varies according to which engine you have.

This code can also be set by low oil pressure. I would do a manual check on the engine to see if the pressure is low, if so you will need to pull the pan and check the oil pump pick up for blockage due to lack of maintenance.

But I would try a new oil pressure sender, at the time install a manual oil pressure gauge which you can get from amazon for $35.00
